Hanuman Jayanti : When Rishab Shetty Called Jai Hanuman A Divine Opportunity To Serve Through Cinema
On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Rishab Shetty stands as a powerful reflection of faith meeting storytelling, a one man army who has consistently shaped narratives rooted in culture and conviction. As the only actor, writer, and director to have delivered a massive 1300 + crore box office success with the Kantara franchise, his journey goes beyond cinema into becoming a true brand ambassador of Indian culture.

Speaking about Jai Hanuman, he had shared, “Films like Jai Hanuman came searching for me. In fact, they chased me all the way to Kundapura. I didn’t have a reason to reject it. Since I have an interest in mythology, Yakshagana, and history, such characters attracted me.”

Known for choosing roles that resonate deeply, Rishab Shetty continues to follow an instinct driven creative path. Opening up about his approach, he said, “We are artists at heart. When a director narrates a story and the character connects with us, we definitely want to do it. Every artist hopes to get such roles when good producers back them.” His choices reflect a seamless blend of passion and purpose, further strengthening his position as a storyteller who brings authenticity and depth to every project he takes on.

What makes Jai Hanuman even more special is the intent behind it, a film he sees as an offering rather than just a project. He revealed, “Jai Hanuman was announced even before the release of Kantara Chapter 1, and I view this as a rare chance to serve through film. This will be a divine movie and an opportunity to show our devotion on screen. Director Prasanth Varma has created a powerful story, and I believe that devotees and followers of Lord Rama and Hanuman will experience it with a deep sense of faith.” On a day that celebrates devotion and strength, Rishab Shetty’s words and journey echo the very essence of Hanuman Jayanti through cinema.
